How accurate is your data?

It's the most accurate database you'll find. But don't take our word for it. Listen to what a customer of ours, Jerry Dean of Cherokee Logistics Inc., says first hand.  “In less than three days I knew this would pay for itself many, many times over.  The information needed to make a decision on a prospective sales call is only a click away.  The number of employees, how long in business and gross sales are only a very few of the valuable pieces of information afforded to us.”

Every single week we update our file with brand new businesses. Then once a month, we update our files with any changes and remove businesses that are no longer open. In one year, the entire database changes dramatically. In fact, it changes by 70% in that one year span. That's what inspired us to give you access to our live, most current information at any time you want.

How do we make our databases better than anyone else? It takes a dedicated team of researchers to individually examine and update records. Next, we personally call every business to validate the accuracy. Nobody else does that. In fact, some companies have computers that do all the work. They randomly search millions of web sites for names. It's just one big data dump with no authentication of where the information comes from or verification that the names are even real. Most are never even updated. Instead, our data is telephone verified so you get nothing but the highest quality, most accurate information. No amount of computer technology can replace that. It may sound like we're bragging, but we're awfully proud.

Where does your data come from?

Our Business Data:

  • We split apart and catalogue 5,200 phone books, annual reports and other business directories to find information on nearly every business in the nation.
  • Next, we hand-key each record and call every business to make sure you have the most reliable information available.
  • Public record data from county courthouse filings, SEC and 10K filings, and Secretary of State data are then entered.
  • Every week 50,000 new businesses are added from sources such as new business registrations and utility hookups so you can be the first to reach a hot new prospect.
  • Every month, we match and clean the data with the USPS National Change of Address (NCOA), ZIP+4 and Delivery Sequence Files to standardize and keep the addresses accurate.

Our Consumer Data:

  • We split apart and catalogue 4,300 telephone directories.
  • Data specialists examine each listing and enhance it with buying habit and lifestyle information from real estate transactions, product registrations, magazine subscriptions, and survey responses.
  • Every week we release 300,000 new movers.
  • Every month we match and clean the data with the USPS National Change of Address (NCOA), ZIP+4 and Delivery Sequence Files to standardize and keep the addresses accurate.

Can I save my current leads and come back to select more later?

Yes. You have the option to save your prospect list at any time, even after you have selected a few leads. This will allow you to re-run the search at a later date, gather more leads, or even change your search criteria. For weekly updated databases such as Brand New Businesses, New Movers, New Homeowners and Bankruptcy Filers you can also save a search and come back every Friday to re-run it and gather leads that were added that week.

What happens when I save a list of sales leads?

When you save a list it becomes a "saved search" which is listed in the "My Account" area. You can re-run a saved search at anytime to find more leads. You can also save your list or sales leads to your Contact Manager to further organize your prospects.

What is the best way to custom sort my list?

You can sort your list by clicking on any of the column headings, or select a heading in the drop down box. If you want to sort your list by more than one heading, click on the "Custom Sort" button.

What are In-depth Business Profiles?

In-depth Business Profiles can give you detailed company information complete with credit score, description, company news, legal filings and more. With increased business intelligence from our Business Profiles, your sales team will be better prepared for calls and close deals faster than

How would I use In-depth Business Profiles?

There are many ways that our Business Profiles can help you. For example, use the Corporate Information section to gather business intelligence on a big client. We also give you the corporate organization and hierarchy so you can understand the chain of command or reach out to multiple contacts.

The profile also includes a list of nearby shops with similar characteristics. These neighboring businesses can be a great addition to your prospect list or can aid in collecting overdue payments.

Let's say you have a customer that wants to buy from you on credit. You don't want to waste hours or days tracking down bank and trade references.

Our reports are also perfect for:

  • Pre-qualifying sales leads
  • Profiling customers
  • Commercial skip-tracing
  • Making low-risk, low-dollar credit decisions
  • Verifying businesses, suppliers and vendors
  • Finding fax, telephone and address data

What do the credit rating codes mean?

Salesgenie has developed a sophisticated computer model to assign credit ratings to the companies in our business database. Our model considers information such as: number of employees, years in business, industry stability, census data and other factors to arrive at credit ratings that are practical, statistically sound indicators of probability to pay.

Why would I want to use Quick Look-Up & Find?

How does the National Do Not Call (DNC) Registry work?

If you call consumers at home to sell products or services, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requires that you remove phone numbers of those registered on Do Not Call lists. We scrub out phone numbers against the registry every week. By law, you must check every 31 days for new additions to the DNC list. If you call someone on the DNC list, that person may file a complaint with the FTC and you could be fined.

Calls made on behalf of non-profit organizations and politicians are exempt from Do Not Call regulations. Calls made to businesses are also exempt from these regulations.

Salesgenie can remove consumers registered as "Do Not Call" from your lists, once you have a Subscription Account Number (SAN).

What is a Subscription Account Number (SAN)?

A Subscription Account Number (SAN) identifies that an organization has registered with the government for updates to the National Do Not Call Registry. A SAN is assigned to your organization after the registration is complete and payment (if required) is received. At the end of the annual subscription period, the SAN expires and you must re-register with the government.

How do I get a SAN number?

To register for a SAN number, go to the National Do Not Call Registry website – http://telemarketing.donotcall.gov.

What is "Sensitive Data?"

If you market to consumers, some selections such as phone number or families with children will require us to provide assistance in following all the privacy regulations. We're here to help, just call us. After a quick approval process, your list can be released for your use.
